Are you an experienced Facilities Management Operations Director / Senior Operations Manager looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the direction and growth of a business?

We are currently supporting a rapidly growing FM provider in the appointment of a National Operations Director – Soft Services. This is a high-profile senior leadership position with responsibility for operational performance, service quality, client relationships and commercial delivery across a significant national portfolio.

Based from Birmingham, with regular national travel, this role will suit an ambitious operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing both people and performance across a geographically dispersed operation.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the operational strategy across two established areas of the business:

  • Soft Facilities Management, including communal cleaning and security services across a demanding 24/7 national portfolio.
  • Seasonal Turnaround Services, delivering large-scale deep cleaning and housekeeping operations within the student accommodation and university sectors.

You will work closely with senior leadership to drive operational excellence, improve service standards, develop client relationships and deliver against ambitious commercial and operational targets.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation. While the role carries significant strategic responsibility, you will be expected to maintain a strong presence across the business and spend time with teams and clients on-site.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
