Company Description:

Avonside Energy is a UK-wide provider of sustainable building solutions, helping developers, businesses, and local authorities reduce carbon emissions and manage future energy costs. The company delivers high-quality new build insulation services that support energy efficiency and regulatory compliance in new homes. Avonside Energy also designs and installs solar PV systems for new housing developments and large-scale rooftop or ground-mount installations for industrial, agricultural, and commercial clients. With a strong track record across the UK, the team focuses on reliable, cost-effective renewable technologies that support long-term sustainability goals.

Role Description:

We are looking for an organised and proactive National Planner to join our Newbuild team.

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating solar PV and insulation installations, balancing operational capacity, labour availability and customer requirements to ensure work is delivered efficiently and within agreed service levels.

This is a busy and varied role that requires excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating Newbuild insulation and solar PV installations across the UK
  • Working with Operations Managers to agree installation schedules and planned runs
  • Assessing labour capacity and identifying potential restrictions or extended lead times
  • Escalating labour shortages and capacity concerns where required
  • Working with the wider Planning team to help optimise and redeploy labour resources
  • Contacting customers to confirm planned installations and arrange future appointments
  • Managing scheduling enquiries through the team inbox
  • Supporting the timely and professional resolution of customer care issues
  • Working closely with our Commercial and Estimating teams to raise and resolve production queries
  • Maintaining effective communication between Planning, Operations and other areas of the business
  • Ensuring enquiries and communications are dealt with within agreed timescales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
