The Resource Management team

The Resource Management team is part of KPMG’s National Audit & Assurance Resource Management Team, leading initiatives that centralize, standardize, and automate processes to effectively deploy resources in support of high quality, efficient audits.

We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Resource Scheduler to support our National IT Audit practice. The Resource Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the assignment of professionals to client engagements while balancing business priorities, resource utilization, employee development, and client needs.

What you will do

  • Partner with IT Audit leaders and engagement managers to understand upcoming staffing requirements and resource demand.
  • Monitor resource availability, utilization, capacity, and scheduling conflicts, proactively identifying solutions to staffing challenges.
  • Balance business priorities while considering employee development goals, client commitments, and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data within the firm's resource management system.
  • Identify resource gaps, shortages, and upcoming availability, escalating risks and recommending staffing strategies.
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards on utilization, capacity, forecast demand, and scheduling metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes, reporting, and resource management practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with partners, directors, managers, and professionals across the national IT Audit practice.

What you bring to the role

  • 3+ years of experience in resource management, resource scheduling, workforce planning, or deployment within a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of utilization, capacity planning, forecasting, and resource allocation principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
