NATIONAL SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER - BEDDING / TEXTILES BRAND
NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - hospitality / boutiques/ interior design
FULLY REMOTE ROLE - WITH TRAVEL MONTHLY TO HEAD OFFICES IN MANCHESTER
£55K
FIXED 12 MONTH CONTRACT
Our client, a successful Bedding and textiles company, are looking to recruit a commercially driven National Account Manager to grow their presence across three connected channels: hospitality, the interior design trade, and independent boutique retail. This is a hunter role at heart — you will identify, win, and develop new business with hotels, spas, and resorts, build a thriving trade program with the UK interior design community, and grow a curated network of independent boutique stockists. Just as importantly, you will bring the entrepreneurial instinct of someone who has built an independent business of their own, alongside the systems, processes, and account discipline that make growth repeatable and profitable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- New business development — Proactively hunt, qualify, and convert new accounts across your channels. Build and own a healthy pipeline, from prospecting and outreach through pitching, negotiation, and close. This role is measured first and foremost on new revenue won.
- Hospitality accounts — Win and manage relationships with hotels, spas, resorts, and hospitality procurement teams and buying groups. Understand their specification, quality, and supply requirements and position the brand's collections to meet them.
- Trade / interior designer program — Design, launch, and scale a trade program for UK interior designers — the commercial terms, samples, onboarding, and account servicing that make the brand's natural specification choice. Leverage and expand your existing network of designers and studios.
- Independent boutique channel — Recruit, onboard, and grow a curated network of independent boutique retailers whose customers fit the brand. Apply first-hand experience of how independents buy, merchandise, and sell to help them succeed with the range.
- Systems & processes — Establish the CRM discipline, pipeline reporting, pricing frameworks, sample management, and order-to-delivery processes that a growing multi-channel business needs. You will be the person who builds the operating rhythm, not just works within it.
- Account planning & forecasting — Own account plans, forecasts, and reviews. Track performance against targets, spot risks and opportunities early, and keep clean, reliable data on every account.
- Budget management — Take responsibility for the commercial numbers behind your channels — sales budgets, margin, promotional and sample spend, and travel — managing to target and reporting variances clearly.
- Cross-functional working — Partner with marketing, product, customer service, and operations to make sure what you sell can be delivered brilliantly, and to feed market insight back into the range.
- Reporting & insight — Produce clear, well-presented reporting and account reviews in Excel and PowerPoint for internal leadership and for customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Hospitality procurement experience — At least 5 years' experience selling into, or buying within, the hospitality procurement sector (hotels, spas, resorts, contract, and FF&E/OS&E supply).

- New business track record — A proven hunter with a clear record of opening and closing new accounts and growing revenue from a standing start.
- Independent boutique experience — Direct experience managing and building an independent boutique business in the UK — you have run or grown an independent operation and understand its commercial realities first-hand.
- Systems builder — Experience setting up systems and processes — CRM, pipeline, pricing, and account management disciplines — not just operating within someone else's.

- Familiarity with contract/hospitality specification and tender processes.

HOW YOU WILL WORK
This is a largely remote role suited to a disciplined, autonomous operator. You will travel to the office at least once a month for team and leadership sessions, and regularly across the UK for account and trade visits. You will report to the Director of Sales and Retail and be trusted to structure your own territory, pipeline, and week — with the reporting and systems in place to keep that transparent.
