Own major national accounts. Unlock new opportunities. Build something bigger.
This is an opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who wants more than simply managing a portfolio of existing customers.
About the Opportunity:
Our client is a highly respected engineering business providing specialist, safety-critical technologies to some of the UK's best-known retail and commercial organisations. With a strong existing customer base, continued investment and ambitious growth plans, they are looking for a National Sales Manager to take ownership of some of their most important accounts and identify where the next wave of growth will come from.
The Opportunity:
- You'll inherit a portfolio of established, high-value national customers - but your role will be to grow them, not simply manage them.
- You'll build relationships across multiple levels of large organisations, understand their wider operational requirements and identify where the company's solutions can add further value across their estates.
- That could mean expanding existing relationships, opening up new sites, introducing additional solutions, winning new business or developing strategic propositions that increase customer spend and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- You'll have the freedom to develop your own account strategies and will work closely with experienced technical and engineering teams who provide the expertise behind the solutions. In return, you'll be trusted to own the commercial relationship, influence decision-makers and deliver measurable growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
