National Sales Manager

Plant Hire

UK Field Based

£55,000 to £65,000 + 20% to 60% Bonus + Car + Strong Company Benefits

This is a field-based role with responsibility for developing new business across the UK construction and industrial sectors. The business supplies a range of temporary power, site lighting, battery storage and associated site equipment solutions, supporting major construction projects nationwide.

This is a genuine business development position. Whilst you'll inherit a small number of existing relationships, the focus is firmly on winning new business, developing partnerships and growing market share across contractors, infrastructure projects and industrial customers.

The Role

  • Develop new business opportunities across the UK construction and industrial sectors
  • Build relationships with main contractors, subcontractors, plant hire businesses, distributors and end users
  • Identify opportunities to supply temporary power, lighting, battery storage and related site equipment into construction projects
  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to commercial agreement and ongoing account development
  • Work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Spend the majority of your time meeting customers across the UK, developing new relationships and generating new opportunities

The Person

  • Proven business development experience within the construction sector
  • Alternatively, a successful sales background within the plant hire, tool hire or contract hire industry
  • Experience selling temporary power, site lighting, generators, battery energy storage, welfare units, solar solutions or similar construction equipment would be highly advantageous
  • Comfortable opening new doors and developing business from scratch
  • Commercially driven with excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Happy working in a field-based role with regular UK travel
