National Sales Manager – Direct-to-Consumer
South of England
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading business during a period of significant growth and investment.
We are looking to appoint a commercially driven National Sales Manager to lead, develop and expand a field-based direct-to-consumer sales team.
This role requires someone with previous leadership experience within a B2C or D2C sales environment. You must have managed a team of sales professionals who visit customers in their homes, conduct consultations or product demonstrations, and convert qualified appointments into sales.
Experience gained within home improvements, windows and doors, fitted furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, stairlifts, mobility products, renewable energy, home security or another appointment-led in-home sales environment would be particularly relevant.
The business generates a high volume of pre-qualified consumer leads every day and already achieves strong conversion rates. With plans to significantly expand the sales team and enter new territories over the next 12 months, this is a key appointment with considerable influence over the future development of the channel.
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for improving individual and team performance, raising conversion rates and ensuring customers receive a consistent, professional and consultative experience in their homes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
