Opportunity

An experienced Sales Manager or Senior Business Development Manager looking for the next step, to join an award-winning and globally recognised Freight and Logistics Service Provider who are looking to add a Sales Manager to help drive the business forward in 2026-2027. My client specialises within Ocean, Air and Road Freight as well as Warehousing and Supply Chain Management Services.

You will be working with and have the support of experienced Product Managers and Operational teams to provide the necessary support. This core role will focus on leading a sales team based across the UK. You will be responsible for recruitment and training as well as hands on within a new business focused role, identifying, sourcing, developing and securing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a sales team
  • Developing sales pipeline, identifying and sourcing new leads
  • Actively selling all modes of Freight Transport, Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Road Freight
  • Developing sales strategies to ensure the team is winning new business to achieve agreed annual targets
  • Developing relationships with customers, onboarding, and working with Operations team to ensure successful service within agreed SOPs, meeting customers expectations
  • Working collaboratively with Operational and Product teams
  • Updating and ensuring all relevant information is captured within CRM/ Sales Management System
  • Recruitment and development of sales team across the whole of the UK

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years demonstrable experience in a Sales Manager role or Senior Business Development Manager position with a focus on New Business Development working for a Freight or Logistics provider within the UK.

Our client is only accepting applications from applicants who are currently working for a Freight Forwarder or Logistics provider based in the UK. If you are not currently working for a Freight or Logistics company in the UK your application will not be considered.
