National Sales Manager / Head of Sales

Who are we?

Waters Baths is a designer and importer of premium bathing products, which we distribute to 400 independent retailers across the UK and Ireland. Well-regarded within the KBB sector, we offer bathing collections in acrylic and stone, plus two12, our patented bath overflow filling system.

Our Role

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious NSM / Head of Sales with a proven or rising track record in the KBB (Kitchen, Bathroom & Bedroom) sector.

With a turnover approaching 5 million, it is vital that applicants demonstrate their ability to manage a sales team while meeting personal sales objectives.

With an exciting portfolio of new product development, ideas for sales territory expansion and multi-channel sales opportunities, our role is ideal for an individual seeking to make a significant impact within a growing SME.

Experience, knowledge, and an established network of contacts within bricks-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, regional/national merchants and buying groups will help you hit the ground running.

Location

As a hybrid role, the job will include travelling across the UK to meet with customers and the sales team, plus working from home and our offices in Belper, Derbyshire DE56 1SW.

Key Responsibilities

As our NSM / Head of Sales, you’ll lead by example, selling while building a winning team with a shared vision. We expect you to:

  • Propose a 2-year plan, upon which you and your sales team will be rewarded.
  • Identify and prioritise personal and team objectives, strategies and timescales.
  • Professionally present our products and brands to existing and new customers.
  • Personally manage key accounts and win new business, alongside leading the sales team.
  • Lead negotiations that secure long-term relationships.
  • Create a regular program of sales team contact, calls, teams & face to face.
  • Engage with all parties in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Analyze team performance and adjust strategies when required.
  • Provide input and collaborate with our commercial and marketing functions to deliver exciting NPD and best-in-sector marketing.

About you…

Ideally, educated to degree level, with an excellent standard of English, or with at least two years’ experience in a similar role, and be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience within the KBB sector.
  • A previously held Key/National account manager or similar leadership role.
  • An established network of contacts that include independent and multi-branch showrooms, ecommerce retailers, merchants, and buying groups.
  • A track record in hitting your own and your team’s targets.
  • Ability to self-motivate, be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
