GHS Direct Limited, established 1984, is a family owned company, that manufactures and supplies cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, and biodegradable hygiene products that are safe for pets and suitable across multiple sectors. Its Vira-Care Disinfectant is DEFRA General Orders Approved, Covid-effective, and proven to work against parvovirus within 10 minutes, alongside many other certified tests. The product range includes disinfectants, antibacterial sanitisers, detergents, degreasers, animal shampoos, disinfectant wipes, and odour eliminators for pet and animal care, veterinary, industrial, domestic, beauty, care, medical, and leisure sectors. Role Description
The National Sales Manager is a contract role responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion across the UK, with a focus on GHS Direct’s hygiene and disinfectant product lines. Based in Canvey Island, with a mix of on-site meetings, client visits, planning, reporting, and virtual customer engagement.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing national sales strategies
- Managing key accounts
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Building strong, long-term relationships with distributors and end customers in target sectors
The role will oversee sales targets, track performance, and collaborate with internal teams on pricing, promotions, and product positioning. The National Sales Manager will also support and guide the sales team, provide regular reporting to leadership, and ensure high standards of customer service and product knowledge.

Qualifications
- Strong Sales and Account Management skills, with experience growing revenue and managing key customer relationships.
- Proficiency in Business Planning and Budgeting to develop forecasts, set targets, and manage sales spend effectively.
- Demonstrated Team Management capabilities, including coaching, performance oversight, and collaborative leadership.
- Background in B2B sales, ideally within hygiene, chemicals, pet care, veterinary, or related sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Solid analytical and reporting skills, including use of CRM tools and standard office software.
- Relevant qualification in business, sales, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
