National Sales Manager – UK & Ireland
Location: UK (field-based, national coverage)
Salary: Up to £80,000 basic + £120,000 OTE (guaranteed for your first 6 months)
Reports to: UK & Ireland General Manager
About the role
Our client is a specialist medical device business leading the way in liver health diagnostics — non-invasive technology used by clinicians across hepatology to detect and monitor liver disease earlier and more accurately. As they grow their commercial footprint across the UK & Ireland, they're looking for a National Sales Manager to lead the team on the ground.
This is a sales leadership role with genuine purpose — the product directly changes patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the UK & Ireland Territory/Sales Manager team
- Grow purchase and recurring revenue across the UK & Ireland sales funnel
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with hospital stakeholders and KOLs in hepatology
- Own CRM management (Salesforce) across MQLs, prospects and existing customers
- Partner with the clinical team to build commercial strategies around the latest research
- Support new business development alongside your Territory Managers
- Drive product demonstrations, trial evaluations, installations and renewals
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Represent the business at trade shows and industry events
- Work with the General Manager to shape the 1–3 year UK growth strategy

What we're looking for
- A proven sales leader with a strong track record of hitting personal targets, ideally with team management experience
- Around 5 years' sales/business development experience in a healthcare or hospital setting (desirable)
- A track record of success selling capital equipment into the NHS, including winning business from competitors
- Solid understanding of the UK healthcare market
- Confident with CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent) — essential
- Strong forecasting and pipeline/funnel management skills
- A natural coach with a track record of developing others
- Degree-level education (desirable, not essential)

Package
- Basic salary up to £80,000, depending on experience
- OTE of £120,000
- OTE guaranteed for your first 6 months
- Field-based role covering the UK & Ireland
