Altro - National Customer Operations Manager

Altro are looking for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of the UK's national order management function. You will be based at our Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire HQ, but will also have responsibility for teams based in Lowestoft, Suffolk and Maiden Newton, Dorset. The role known internally as the National Customer Operations Manager, is a permanent, hybrid working role (3 days a week in the office) with the requirement to travel to our other UK sites from time to time.

You'll be responsible for ensuring customer orders and quotations are processed accurately, efficiently and consistently, delivering an outstanding experience for our customers while supporting the commercial success of the business.

This is more than a customer service role. We're looking for someone who can think strategically, challenge existing ways of working and drive the future direction of our order management operation. You'll play a key role in shaping processes, improving performance, introducing automation and ensuring the function is ready to support future growth of the company.

Working closely with Commercial, Demand Planning, IT and Customer Insight teams, you'll turn business objectives into operational plans and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance both efficiency and customer experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
