We have a fantastic opportunity for a National Trainer to join our amazing training team with national travel as required. Area to be covered - Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire
As a National or Regional Trainer and valued member of the Training Team, you will play a key role in developing and supporting our workforce across the business. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality induction, mandatory and accredited training programmes, ensuring colleagues have the knowledge, skills and confidence required to perform their roles safely and effectively.
Working closely with operational teams, mentors and key stakeholders, you will provide expert guidance, coaching and support to both new and existing colleagues. The role will also involve supporting driver theory training, coaching and driving assessments where required.
You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring that Patient Transport Services (PTS), Community Services, Courier Services and SAFE colleagues receive and maintain the training required for their role.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver company inductions for new starters across all divisions within your designated region and, where required, support national training activities.
- Deliver annual refresher and mandatory training programmes across all service lines.
- Deliver accredited First Aid qualifications and other approved training courses.
- Conduct driver coaching, theory sessions and practical driving assessments.
- Support and motivate learners to achieve successful outcomes and progress within their roles.
- Coach, support and assess Part-Time Trainers to ensure consistency and quality of delivery.
- Coach, support and develop Mentors within the region to enhance local learning and development.
- Encourage continuous professional development and support learners in reaching their full potential.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Monitor, maintain and report on training compliance within agreed timescales.
- Ensure training records are accurate, up to date and fully auditable.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, HR, Compliance, Fleet and other stakeholders to address training priorities, risks and organisational objectives.
- Ensure all training activity aligns with company standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations.
Programme Development and Implementation
- Identify emerging training needs arising from changes in legislation, industry guidance, contractual requirements or organisational priorities.
- Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of training materials, ensuring content remains current, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Support the continuous improvement of training programmes, learning resources and delivery methods.
- Ensure all training provision aligns with business expectations and the EMED Training Prospectus.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the wider Training Team, Operational Teams and Compliance colleagues to ensure a standardised approach to learning and development.
- Build effective relationships with operational teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Communicate professionally and confidently at all levels, addressing training-related challenges and opportunities.
- Deliver agreed objectives and key performance indicators in line with company expectations.
Administration and Data Management
- Maintain accurate and timely training records using company systems, including Bamboo and other learning management platforms.
- Record accredited learning outcomes with external awarding organisations, such as Qualsafe, where required.
- Generate and distribute training certificates and ensure completion records are accurately recorded and retained.
- Produce training reports and compliance data to support operational planning and workforce development.

Travel and Flexibility
- Travel throughout the assigned region and, where required, nationally to support business needs and training delivery.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working locations and hours to meet operational and training demands.
- Represent the Training Team professionally and positively, acting as an ambassador for EMED Group values and standards.
We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable understanding of the Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) role and associated responsibilities.
- Ability to act as a positive role model, promoting professionalism, safety, and high standards of patient care.
- Current First Aid qualification or equivalent clinical competency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to supporting the development and wellbeing of colleagues.
Desirable Criteria
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
- Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards.
- Assessor qualification.
- Driver Instructor qualification, Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), RoSPA qualification, or equivalent.
- Mental Health First Aider qualification.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or supporting staff development.
- Experience delivering safeguarding training.
- Experience delivering health and safety training.
- Previous experience facilitating training, coaching, or competency assessments within an operational healthcare or ambulance environment.
