About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Native Software Developer with active eDV clearance to join our dynamic team in London. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most sensitive and mission-critical programmes. As a key member of our engineering teams, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable cloud-native applications that directly support national security operations. Your work will involve leveraging modern cloud technologies, containerization, and Agile methodologies to deliver resilient and high-performing systems. This role offers the chance to contribute to projects with significant operational impact, working within a collaborative environment that values innovation, security, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Active eDV Clearance is essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in commercial software engineering, with a strong understanding of secure development practices.
  • Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS and/or Azure platforms.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience working with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, and building microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and adopting DevSecOps practices.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and modern software design principles.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, secure software within Agile teams.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing secure, scalable cloud-native applications tailored to the needs of national security clients.
  • Deploying applications within cloud environments, ensuring high availability and resilience.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Implementing best practices for security, performance, and maintainability throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high standards of quality.
  • Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and security standards to enhance system robustness.
