NATO Accountant – Security Cleared
Location: Northwood, London
Working Pattern: Primarily on-site – some hybrid working may be available
Contract: Immediate Start
Rate: Competitive Market Rate
Security Clearance: Active UK SC Clearance required
We are recruiting on an urgent and exclusive basis for an experienced Accountant to support NATO/MARCOM at Northwood.
This position would suit an experienced financial accounting professional with a strong reporting background and, ideally, previous experience within NATO, Defence, Government or another international public-sector organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial accounting and general accounting support
- Preparation and review of financial reports
- Support with year-end closing activities
- Work in accordance with IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards)
- Work independently across assigned accounting activities
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to members of the existing Accounting team
- Support the accuracy, quality and timely delivery of financial information

Essential Requirements
Candidates must:
- Hold current UK SC security clearance
- Have the existing right to work in the UK
- Be based within reasonable commuting distance of Northwood/London, or able to commute regularly
- Have a strong professional financial accounting background
- Have experience with financial reporting and year-end close
- Be comfortable working independently in a professional finance environment

Highly Desirable
- Practical knowledge and experience of IPSAS
- Previous NATO accounting experience
- Experience within Defence, Government, international organisations or similarly regulated environments
- Experience supporting or mentoring other accounting team members
