Nature-Based Solutions

Practitioners around the globe are increasingly interested in the potential of nature-based solutions (NbS, also called ecosystem-based adaptation, EbA) to manage climate-related coastal risks. Nature-based approaches can simultaneously help reduce physical risk, improve natural habitat, and benefit local communities. As coastal communities seek to implement such projects, there is a great need to share practical, on-the-ground knowledge about efforts to plan, fund, implement, and monitor them. PEERS is currently working to define the best ways to support our global practitioners to share their experience and knowledge around NbS/EbA to accelerate solutions.
