Location: DHL Aviation, East Midlands Airport

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 21:00 - 05:30 (40 hours per week, flexibility required)

🔎 About the Role

As an NCG Sort Yard Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in keeping DHL's transport network running smoothly by coordinating yard operations, ensuring trailers are safe and roadworthy, managing third-party contractors, and supporting operational performance. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll drive communication, maintain high safety standards, and help deliver efficient, reliable linehaul operations across the network.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure coordination of trailer checks to confirm they are in safe, roadworthy condition before entering the network
  • Maintain relationships with external partners (truck operators and subcontractors)
  • Cascade network changes affecting Road Operations and wider business functions
  • Maintain strong communication with Operations Manager, Ramp, NCG, Sort, ACS, Service Quality, and QCC
  • Support awareness and reporting of Road Operations performance and statistics
  • Promote open two-way communication and feedback across teams
  • Support the Road Operations leadership team with daily operational updates and solutions
  • Drive and share best practices across Road Operations
  • Manage onsite Linehaul 3rd Party Contractors
  • Contribute to planning with internal departments (e.g. Facilities/Maintenance)
  • Support training
  • Operate GSE to support Yard and Winter Operations
  • Build strong relationships with 3rd Party Handling/ACS to support Special Handling
