Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and capable NDE Engineer to join our Core Technologies Projects & Tenders team in Dunfermline.

We welcome applications from individuals at various stages of their careers, from those looking to begin their journey in NDE/NDT through to experienced engineers seeking technical leadership opportunities.

Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) or Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) covers a range of inspection techniques used to evaluate materials, welds and components without causing damage or affecting their future usability. Methods such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing and dye penetrant testing are used to identify defects or discontinuities that could compromise the integrity of an asset.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the TechnipFMC product portfolio, supporting the inspection, qualification, and integrity assessment of critical assets and welded structures used globally. NDE/NDT plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability and compliance of our equipment and, working in this role, you will help prevent failures, reduce downtime, and extend asset life, as well as protecting personnel, the environment and business operations.

Successful candidates will be supported in their professional development, including progression through industry-recognised certification schemes and advancement towards higher levels of technical responsibility.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
