Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a highly established safety-critical manufacturing business who are looking to appoint an experienced NDT Engineer / NDT Level III to join their team.

This is a key technical and leadership position, with responsibility for acting as the business's NDT Level III process expert, whilst leading and developing a team of five NDT Technicians.

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of the NDT function, ensuring technical compliance, developing people and processes, and driving improvements that support quality, cost and future business growth.

🔍 The Role

As NDT Engineer, you will:

  • Act as the business NDT Level III technical expert
  • Ensure NDT procedures, work instructions and data cards meet relevant standards and customer requirements
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of 5 NDT Technicians
  • Oversee competence, training, certification and re-certification across the NDT function
  • Ensure compliance with PCN and ASNT requirements
  • Develop and maintain NDT procedures and reference standards
  • Translate customer technical requirements into practical operational procedures
  • Support audits, non-conformances, root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Lead controlled changes and ensure improvements are effectively implemented and sustained
  • Develop improvement plans to enhance process resilience, quality and cost performance
  • Mentor and develop NDT personnel across the wider business

✅ About You

We're looking for an experienced NDT professional with:

  • PCN Level 3 – Ultrasonic Testing (Forgings)
  • PCN Level 3 – Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
  • 10+ years' experience in NDT within safety-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of NDT inspection techniques
  • Proven leadership / supervisory experience
  • Experience implementing controlled change and sustaining improvements

⏰ Hours

37 hours per week – fully onsite

  • Monday–Thursday: 07:45–16:15
  • Friday: 07:45–12:45
