NDT Technician Required

NDT Technician required for a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader, with over 20 worldwide locations employing 1000+ staff. This employer is recognised globally for quality and innovative deliverables.

The successful NDT Technician will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield, and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct various inspections, including Visual Inspection (VI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Nital Etch inspection (NE) of forgings, machine components, and weldments.
  • Analyse inspection results, identify potential flaws, interpret standards, and document findings according to established procedures.
  • Raise non-conformance reports in line with the non-conformance management procedure.
  • Assist in resolving shop floor issues related to machining, welding, heat treatment, or metallurgical causes.

Requirements

  • PCN Level 2 Minimum in Visual, MPI, DPI, and UT Forgings
  • Experienced in preparing detailed reports outlining inspection findings, defects, and interpreting specifications and standards
  • Manual Handling and training experience
  • ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor Trained

Salary & Benefits

  • £39,604 basic - £46,732.72 (shift rate)
  • 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - Rotating Shifts - Morning and afternoons
  • 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
  • Company pension contributions of up to 8%
