About the Role

We are seeking a skilled NDT Inspector to perform tests and inspect products at various stages of the production process. The role focuses on non-destructive testing to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Manager to maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various non-destructive tests predominantly focused on MT, PT, or Visual (VT or CSWIP).
  • Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment and ensure its correct operation.
  • Review part prints, procedures, and work instructions to complete testing accurately.
  • Document reports and implement corrective and preventative actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Manager to address quality issues and ensure compliance with company processes.

Requirements

  • PCN Level 2 in Magnetic Particle inspection (MT/MPI), Penetrant Testing (PT, LPI, DPI), Visual Testing (VT or CSWIP)
  • Proven experience in an NDT / NDE role
  • Ability to interpret specifications & engineering drawings
  • Ability to use Quality instruments; weld gauges, micrometres, steel ruler, etc.
  • UK Driving licence and valid passport.

Job Details

  • Location: Manchester
  • Type: Permanent
  • Schedule: Full Time, 0700-1530 (Mon-Thurs), 0700-1200 (Fri)
  • Salary: £40k - £45k
  • Benefits: 7% Pension Contributions, 4% from candidate, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
