NDT Technician - PCN Level 2 MPI & DPI

Croydon | 36 Hours per Week (4-Day Week) | Fixed-Term Contract until December 2026

Applus UK is looking for an experienced NDT Technician to join our team on a fixed-term contract from October through to December 2026.

This role is based in Croydon and offers an excellent work-life balance with a 36-hour week across 4 days, along with flexibility on working days. We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are locally based and able to commute regularly, although we will also consider individuals who are willing to travel for the right opportunity.

About the Role

As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out non-destructive testing inspections using approved techniques, procedures, and acceptance criteria. You will play a key role in ensuring inspections are completed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day inspections using both welding inspection and NDT techniques.
  • Deliver inspection activities safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements.
  • Keep management informed of project status, progress, and any issues affecting delivery.
  • Complete inspections within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets, records, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all NDT equipment and consumables are within calibration requirements prior to use.
  • Produce high-quality inspection reports in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Ensure inspection reports are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Stay up to date with company, client, industry, and legislative requirements relating to conventional and advanced NDT techniques.
  • Support the training and development of less experienced colleagues.
  • Maintain certification records and provide updated qualifications when obtained.
  • Adhere to company policies relating to independence, impartiality, integrity, and authorised inspection activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
