South Leicester | Permanent | £19.16 per hour (including shift allowance) + Bonus + Overtime | 37 hours | No Weekend Working

Are you an experienced NDT Technician with Level 1 or 2 FPI certification looking to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer?

The Role

Working within the Inspection department, you'll be responsible for carrying out Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), visual inspection, and dimensional inspection on precision aerospace and industrial components, ensuring all products meet strict customer and quality standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)
  • Visual and dimensional inspection
  • First-off inspections
  • Conventional and CMM inspection
  • Receipt inspection of returned subcontract parts
  • Reading engineering drawings and specifications
  • Completing inspection documentation and batch records
  • Raising non-conformance reports where required
  • Maintaining FPI Level 1 / 2 accreditation
  • Supporting airflow inspection activities
  • Working to AS9100 and company quality procedures

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Level 1 or Level 2 FPI qualification
  • Previous NDT experience, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering
  • Experience inspecting tight tolerance components
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using conventional inspection equipment
  • CMM inspection experience (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to quality standards

Working Hours

37 hours per week

Rotating three-shift pattern:

Morning

  • Monday-Thursday: 05:45-13:45
  • Friday: 05:45-10:45

Afternoon

  • Monday-Thursday: 13:45-21:45
  • Friday: 10:45-15:45

Night

  • Monday-Thursday: 21:45-05:45
  • Friday: 15:45-20:45

No weekend working.
