At Tetra Tech we are seeking a full-time NEC 4 Site Supervisor with strong highway supervision background to support our Clerk of Works team in the Hertfordshire area.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

We are seeking to strengthen our NEC Site Supervisor capacity and require an applicant experienced in a large highway’s projects, ideally with bridge construction experience and Section 278 projects.

We require an experienced individual of high calibre to assist in the Site Supervision of a variety of Highway projects in the Hertfordshire area ensuring quality compliance across the project and delivery of the Clients requirements.

Your Impact in this position

You will be the main liaison and Tetra Tech representative on site and responsible for instilling our core principals and building a strong client relationship through collaboration and technical input and achieving project outcomes.

You will take individual responsibility for a range of Highways projects, manage them independently and be the Project Managers main point of contact. Projects range in size but will include development sites, bridge construction, and Section 278 projects around the Hertfordshire area. You will lead independently and proactively on-site supervision and will be fully conversant with industry standards.

Core Capabilities

  • Oversee highways projects and engineering activities, ensuring compliance with NEC 4 standards, Scope, and specifications.
  • Undertake site inspections and monitor and report Contractor performance, programme and quality of works and maintain accurate site records.
  • Work with the Project Manager, Client, and contractors team.
  • Assist in risk mitigation and management to overcome potential issues.
  • Ensure site health, safety and quality are maintained to a high standard.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Be NEC 4 Site Supervisor qualified
  • Have strong experience and bring a sound knowledge and understanding of Highways projects through your proven experience, ideally with Section 278 and bridge experience.
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a deliver work on time.
  • Display enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility as a collaborator.
  • Be able to mentor, enthuse and support team members.
  • Have a desire to build upon your existing experience, continuing your professional development with Tetra Tech.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Be IT capable.

Working Environment

This role is based in Hertfordshire and surrounding area, with projects outside this area considered in the future.
