NEC Housing Consultant
We are currently recruiting for an experienced NEC Housing Consultant to support a major housing systems integration programme. The role will be on an initial 3 month contract starting asap, paying up to £500 a day for the right candidate on an outside IR35 basis. The role will require two days a week onsite in London.
The organisation is bringing approximately 3,400 properties and associated operational processes into NEC Housing, with the first phase due to transition in January 2027.
Discovery and requirements gathering are largely complete, so this is a highly hands-on delivery role, focused on configuring, building and testing the required NEC functionality.

You will join an established programme team and work alongside an existing NEC Consultant, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Migration, Change and Training resources.
Essential experience
- Strong hands-on experience with NEC Housing / Northgate Housing
- Previous experience successfully implementing or configuring NEC Housing
- Strong experience with:
- NEC Voids
- NEC Allocations
- NEC Task Manager
- Experience across functional design, configuration, build and testing
- Experience translating business requirements into system configuration
- Strong understanding of housing management processes
- Previous experience working within a housing association or local authority environment
- Ability to work independently and provide NEC subject matter expertise to a wider programme team

Desirable experience
- Experience supporting large-scale housing system migrations or integrations
- Experience migrating from Open Housing / Capita OpenHousing
- Experience working on merger or organisational integration programmes
- Understanding of housing data migration and system interfaces
