NEC ECC Supervisor (NEC Accredited)
Location: Dorset
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Freelance / Self-Employed (40 hours per week)
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced NEC ECC Supervisor to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in Dorset.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project, ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with the NEC Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), maintaining high standards of quality and compliance throughout the construction phase.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Contractor, and wider project team, carrying out the duties of the Supervisor as defined within the NEC contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the role of NEC Supervisor in accordance with the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract.
- Inspect works to ensure compliance with the contract, specification, drawings, and quality requirements.
- Identify and notify Defects in accordance with NEC procedures.
- Monitor construction activities and witness inspections and testing where required.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and photographic evidence.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and the client team.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical input where necessary.
- Ensure that health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained.
- Support the timely resolution of quality issues and non-conformances.
- Produce clear, concise reports and maintain project documentation.

Essential Requirements
- NEC4 ECC Supervisor Accreditation (essential).
- Demonstrable experience undertaking the NEC Supervisor role on construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and the Supervisor's responsibilities.
- Excellent inspection, reporting, and communication skills.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the project area.

Desirable
- Relevant construction, engineering, or infrastructure qualification.
- Membership of a recognised professional body (such as MCIOB, ICWCI, RICS, ICE, or equivalent).
- Experience working on public sector or infrastructure projects.
