Here for people. Here for communities. Here for you.
What is the role?
As a Neighbourhood Coach at Hafod, you’ll be at the heart of our communities, building strong relationships with tenants and helping them to get the most from their homes, neighbourhoods and opportunities.
Make a difference every day as a Neighbourhood Coach at Hafod. This is a permanent part-time 20 hrs job opportunity.
This is much more than traditional housing management. You’ll take a person-centred and coaching approach, empowering tenants to find solutions, build confidence and achieve their goals. You’ll also play an important part in creating thriving neighbourhoods by working closely with colleagues, communities and local partners.
This role involves travelling independently across our sites and services as part of day-to-day duties. Because of this, you'll need to hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. If you use your own vehicle for work, you'll also need appropriate insurance for business use.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own patch of properties and providing a high-quality, person-centred housing management service.
- Building positive relationships with tenants, understanding their individual circumstances, goals and aspirations.
- Using coaching skills to help tenants find solutions, take ownership and build confidence and independence.
- Supporting tenants to understand their rights and responsibilities and sustain successful tenancies.
- Managing tenancy matters including sign-ups, tenancy changes, rent and service charge accounts, anti-social behaviour and, where required, legal action.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams, local communities and partner organisations to connect tenants with the right advice and support.
- Helping to identify local needs and opportunities that contribute to stronger, healthier and more connected communities.
- Maintaining accurate tenant records and using information and performance data to prioritise your work and deliver positive outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
