We're looking for a passionate and hardworking Neighbourhood Gardener to help keep our estates and neighbourhoods looking their best. Reporting to the Neighbourhood Services Manager (Gardening), you'll play a vital role in creating attractive, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces that our customers are proud to call home.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in high standards, and understands the value that well-maintained green spaces bring to local communities.
Location: the role covers Ipswich/Colchester and surrounding areas
Hours: Full Time - 37 hpw - Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30
Contract: Permanent + Company Van
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are quite the same, but your responsibilities will include:
- carrying out grounds maintenance tasks across our neighbourhoods.
- operating a range of equipment, including strimmers, ride-on mowers and hedge cutters.
- litter picking and helping keep communal outdoor areas clean and attractive.
- undertaking spraying activities where appropriate.
- maintaining equipment and ensuring all health and safety requirements are followed.
- working efficiently to deliver excellent value and customer service.
- supporting a positive team culture and contributing to the success of the wider service.

What You'll Bring
You'll be someone who:
- has experience within the horticultural or grounds maintenance industry.
- is confident using gardening and grounds maintenance equipment.
- holds a full UK driving licence.
- has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- has basic digital skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- takes a proactive approach and enjoys working as part of a team.
- cares about delivering high standards and making a difference to customers.
