Neighbourhood Manager – Southmere, Thamesmead
Help shape one of London's most exciting regeneration projects
We're looking for a Neighbourhood Manager to join our Place Management team in Southmere, Thamesmead, playing a key role in creating safe, welcoming and thriving neighbourhoods.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of Thamesmead's long-term transformation, supporting residents, managing tenancies and helping deliver high standards across homes, estates and public spaces.
Based at our Southmere development, you'll be the visible face of Peabody, building strong relationships with residents, resolving issues quickly and helping shape the day-to-day experience of one of London's fastest-evolving communities.

Southmere is at the centre of Peabody's transformation of Thamesmead, delivering new homes, improved public spaces, shops, community facilities and better connections across the area. This is more than a housing management role, it's an opportunity to help build a thriving neighbourhood and support a growing community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver excellent tenancy and neighbourhood management services across Southmere.
- Build strong relationships with residents, community groups and local partners.
- Manage tenancy matters, ASB, safeguarding concerns, estate issues and customer enquiries.
- Carry out estate inspections, welcome visits and resident engagement activities.
- Work closely with internal teams and contractors to resolve defects, repairs and estate issues.
- Support community events and help shape local services through resident feedback.

What You'll Bring
- Housing management, tenancy management or community-focused experience.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence handling challenging situations and resolving problems.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of housing management and tenancy legislation.
- A mix of Private and Social Housing experience
- Experience within regeneration, estate management or new-build environments.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Please read before applying
This role is primarily office and community-based, with five days per week spent on site in Southmere.
- A Basic DBS check is required.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.
- Interviews will be held in person on Thursday 17th September at the Southmere Concierge Office, Thamesmead.
