Hays are recruiting on behalf of an established housing association in Manchester for a Neighbourhood Officer for an initial 3-month period.

Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week.

A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and business insurance are essential.

Your new role

  • You'll be responsible for delivering a high-quality neighbourhood and tenancy management service, acting as a visible presence across local communities.
  • The role centres on ensuring homes are well-managed, tenants are supported, and neighbourhood issues are resolved quickly.
  • Managing a defined patch
  • Leading on complex tenancy matters
  • Supporting community engagement
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong experience in tenancy management, including arrears, ASB, and legal processes
  • Confidence carrying out home visits, inspections, and risk-based tenancy reviews
  • Ability to build positive landlord-tenant relationships and intervene early
  • Skilled in multi-agency working and partnership building

What you'll get in return
