About the Role

Do you enjoy being out and about in the community rather than behind a desk? Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and making a real difference to people's lives? Can you build strong relationships, solve problems independently, and take pride in creating safe and thriving neighbourhoods?

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Neighbourhood Officer to join our Neighbourhoods Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working within communities, building positive relationships with residents, and helping to create places where people can truly thrive.

As a Neighbourhood Officer, you'll be the visible presence within your neighbourhoods, ensuring communal areas, playgrounds and independent living schemes are safe, clean, welcoming and well maintained. You'll work closely with residents, helping to identify issues, provide practical support and contribute to creating thriving communities.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll spend much of your time out in the community, engaging with residents, carrying out inspections and taking action to improve neighbourhood standards.

Location: Mobile covering Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas
Hours: Full Time - 37 hpw - Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent + company van

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct regular inspections of neighbourhoods, communal areas, playgrounds and independent living schemes.
  • Ensure communal spaces are safe, clean, tidy and free from graffiti, litter and fly-tipping.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and become a trusted point of contact within the community.
  • Identify neighbourhood issues and work collaboratively to find practical solutions.
  • Provide practical support to residents where appropriate, including small assistance tasks such as changing a light bulb or cutting back a hedge.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Work independently to manage your workload and prioritise competing demands.
  • Support the wider Neighbourhoods Team in delivering services that improve resident satisfaction and community wellbeing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
