Neighbourhood Officer

If you like variety and getting out and about, being a Neighbourhood Officer is a brilliant role. It’s non-routine – no two days are the same.

You’ll be out in the community managing your own patch, building relationships, supporting tenants, and making sure people feel safe and listened to.

You don’t necessarily need housing experience to apply, we’re interested in your life skills, your judgement, and your ability to work with people.

The role

  • Managing your own neighbourhood, working directly with customers in their homes and communities
  • Handling a real mix of casework, site visits, and customer interaction day to day
  • Working in partnership with internal teams, councils, and external agencies to resolve issues
  • Making decisions, prioritising your workload, and managing situations as they arise
  • Dealing with a range of situations, some of which can be complex or challenging

Skills required

  • Strong customer focus and ability to work in partnership
  • Confidence to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Ability to build relationships and handle difficult conversations
  • Resilient, practical, and able to use sound judgement in real-life situations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
