We're looking for Neighbourhood Support Officers to join our Neighbourhood Housing Teams across the city. You'll provide administrative, financial and customer support that helps our frontline teams deliver services to thousands of residents across Sheffield. You'll be at the heart of our neighbourhood operations, ensuring customers receive a professional, responsive and high-quality customer service.
About The Role
As a Neighbourhood Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting neighbourhood teams, customers, community facilities and service delivery. This is a varied position where no two days are the same.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent customer service to residents, partners and colleagues.
- Responding to enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
- Processing customer information and maintaining accurate records.
- Processing correspondence, complaints and enquiries within agreed timescales.
- Supporting meetings and events, including diary management and note taking.
- Producing documents, reports and communications using a range of IT systems.
- Assisting with financial administration, invoices, payments and budget monitoring.
- Supporting the management of community facilities, garages and communal spaces.
- Working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure effective neighbourhood service delivery

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
