Pay Range
£30,500 to £34,000
Working Hours/Pattern
Full-time, although we would be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work on a part-time basis. If you would like to explore this further please discuss this with the talent partner for this role. Please note our ability to accommodate flexible working arrangements will vary from role to role, dependent on business requirements.
Job Description
Do you have experience of conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and developing personalised Work and Health Action Plans?
Do you have experience of supporting individuals with physical health, mental health, social or practical barriers to remain in work, return to work or secure new employment? Then consider the role of Neighbourhood Work & Health Coach at Reed in Partnership! Please Note, these roles are expressions of interest only at this point. What is the role about?
WorkWell is an integrated work and health support service helping people with disabilities and health conditions to start, stay and succeed in work. The service provides early intervention support to individuals whose health is affecting their ability to work, helping them to overcome barriers, improve wellbeing and achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
The Neighbourhood Work & Health Coach will provide personalised, person-centred support to individuals experiencing physical health, mental health or wider wellbeing challenges that impact on their employment. Working closely with healthcare professionals, employers, community organisations and other support services, the postholder will help participants remain in work, return to work following absence, or move into suitable employment.
Through coaching, assessment and coordinated case management, the Neighbourhood Work & Health Coach will support participants to develop practical solutions to health and employment barriers. They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), helping participants access specialist interventions, community support and workplace adjustments that enable sustainable employment and improved wellbeing.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to understand the relationship between a participant's health, wellbeing and employment circumstances.
- Build trusted and supportive relationships with participants through a person-centred coaching approach.
- Use motivational interviewing and behaviour change techniques to identify strengths, aspirations, barriers and opportunities.
- Develop personalised Work and Health Action Plans that include employment, wellbeing and personal goals.
- Identify physical health, mental health, social and practical barriers affecting a participant's ability to remain in work, return to work or secure new employment.
- Provide ongoing coaching, guidance and practical support to help participants improve confidence, wellbeing and work readiness.
- Support participants to remain in employment through early intervention, workplace problem-solving and appropriate workplace adjustment planning.
- Work with participants who are absent from work to develop structured return-to-work plans, including phased returns where appropriate.
- Coordinate interventions and referrals that address identified barriers, ensuring support is timely, proportionate and outcome-focused.
- Provide employment coaching including career planning, job search support, CV development and interview preparation where appropriate.
- Work closely with clinicians, social prescribers, health coaches, occupational health professionals and community support providers to coordinate integrated support plans.
- Identify, assess and appropriately escalate safeguarding, welfare and risk concerns in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
- Experience delivering personalised advice, guidance, coaching or support services to adults facing barriers to employment, health or wellbeing.
- Experience managing a caseload and supporting individuals to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Experience working in partnership with multiple organisations and stakeholders.
- Experience working to performance standards and quality requirements.
- Strong of the impact that physical health, mental health and disability can have on employment.
- A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
- GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage OR International Equivalents.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within employment support, vocational rehabilitation, health coaching, social prescribing, occupational health or wellbeing services.
- Qualification in Advice & Guidance, Health Coaching, Employability, Counselling, Social Care or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting individuals to remain in work or return to work following sickness absence.
- Knowledge of reasonable adjustments and disability-inclusive employment practices.
- Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek (Dependent on programme)
