Neonatal Community Nurse - Band 6
The Neonatal Community Nursing Team manages a caseload of neonatal babies discharged from the Neonatal Unit and Post-Natal ward who need follow-up support and enhanced nursing care in the community. They cover 75 hours/week over 7 days including bank holidays. Shift times may vary according to service need and may change with any future developments of the service. They provide home visits across North Lincolnshire. They facilitate Support Groups to maintain contact with infants and promote parental wellbeing. The Neonatal Community Nurses work closely with staff on the Neonatal Unit and Maternity Wards to ensure safe early discharge from hospital for neonatal infants requiring home oxygen, support with feeding and blood tests (although this list is not exhaustive).
The Neonatal Community Nurses work autonomously and are responsible for their own practice within the larger team. Supervision is provided from the Ward Manager and Paediatric Matron.
A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
