About the Role

The NICU at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit motivated and passionate Band 5 nurses. Neonatal experience is desirable though not essential as full training and support would be provided. You will work as a member of the Neonatal Unit delivering quality, evidence-based care to neonates.

You will be responsive to the needs of parents using a family-centred approach.

Overseas Nurses

Applications from overseas Nurses - The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place. At this present time we aren’t in a position to offer that support and therefore will not accept applications from overseas nurses who only have Part 1 NMC registration. If that position changes in future we will clearly advertise our opportunities for international nurses to join our nurse team here in Bolton. Thank you for your understanding.

About the Unit

We are a well-established level 3 unit providing a high-quality service to the local neonatal network and beyond. The unit’s current cot configuration is 16 ITU/HDU and 19 SC cots. We have a team of highly dedicated consultants and nurses who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care to our patients and families.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
