Stockport NHS Trust Neonatal Service Opportunity

Stockport NHS Trust has been awarded funding from the Neo Natal Network to allow the expansion of our neonatal team. Therefore, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Band 6 on a 12-month secondment within the Neonatal Service at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated individuals who can demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, provide support and education for junior staff, and are passionate about improving patient safety and the patient experience. The role involves providing leadership and management of the team on a shift, working closely with the Senior Sisters, Lead Nurses, and Matron in developing the service and enhancing the quality of care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care given to sick and pre-term babies and their families, demonstrating family-centred care.
  • Provide expert advice to parents and carers, acting as a resource to other members of staff.
  • Take a lead role in a specific area of the service.
