Vision Engineer (Guarantee Level)

Permanent | Full-Time | On-Site & Bracknell HQ

About the Role

Lead the vision systems behind major live broadcasts

At NEP UK, our engineers are at the heart of some of the world’s biggest sporting, entertainment and broadcast productions.

We are looking for an experienced Guarantee-level Vision Engineer to take technical ownership of the planning, preparation and delivery of complex vision systems across our outside broadcast trucks, flypacks and remote production environments.

Working across IP, including SMPTE ST 2110, and hybrid SDI/IP systems, you will make key engineering decisions, solve complex technical challenges and take responsibility for system performance from initial preparation through to live production.

On site, you will act as the primary technical authority for vision systems, providing calm and confident leadership in fast-moving live environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full technical ownership of vision systems from project design through to live delivery.
  • Lead system design, configuration, testing and validation for OB trucks and flypack projects.
  • Engineer and support complex vision chains, including cameras, CCUs, vision mixers, routers, multiviewers, monitoring and tally.
  • Implement and support IP-based production environments, including SMPTE ST 2110, PTP, multicast, redundancy and broadcast network infrastructure.
  • Configure and support broadcast control, orchestration and monitoring systems.
  • Lead the integration of vision, replay, audio, communications and wider production systems.
  • Operate as the Guarantee Vision Engineer on live productions, taking ownership of system performance and resolving faults quickly.
  • Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, system diagrams and build records.
  • Contribute to improvements in system design, workflows, engineering standards and reliability.
  • Mentor and support less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
