About The Rolle
NERA’s Associate Analysts and Analysts explore pressing economic challenges, from climate policy and renewable energy to competitor analysis and auction design.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Apply empirical and technical skills from your degree (Economics, Finance, or related fields) to complex real-world cases in regulated industries.
- Conduct cutting-edge economic analysis on policy impacts, market structures, and litigation-related economics.
- Write high-quality research reports and client-facing presentations, coaching senior staff on strategy.
- Collaborate with in-house economists and external academics.
- Develop project management and team leadership skills.
- Create and deliver internal training to support team growth.

Requirements
Thermoe:
- A BA/BSc and Master’s or PhD in Economics (exceptional academic records).
- Specialisations such as microeconomics, industrial organisation (IO), econometrics, and finance are preferred, but we value analytical strengths across all subfields.
- Enthusiasm for quantitative research and microeconomic policy.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Stata, R, or Python.
- Sharp analytical and critical thinking, with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus, though not essential.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
