About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior C# /.NET Developer to join our dynamic team supporting critical Risk Management and Securities Lending platforms within the financial services sector. This role is based in London with a hybrid working model, offering a blend of remote and on-site collaboration. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable systems that facilitate complex risk calculations and trading workflows. Working closely with quantitative analysts, risk managers, and front-office teams, you will contribute to building robust solutions that meet stringent regulatory and operational standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with domain-specific knowledge in financial services. Key qualifications include:
- Deep hands-on experience with C# and.NET frameworks, including .NET Core.
- Exceptional object-oriented programming skills and a solid understanding of architectural design principles.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs using JSON.
- Strong SQL database experience, particularly with SQL Server.
- Knowledge of application performance tuning, scalability, and testing methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working within financial services, particularly in risk management, securities lending, prime brokerage, or collateral platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk methodologies such as Basel III, CCAR, and RWA calculations is advantageous.
- Additional experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), messaging technologies like Kafka, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance C# /.NET applications that support risk and securities lending workflows.
- Building and consuming RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between complex financial systems.
- Handling large datasets and ensuring system throughput for critical exposure calculations, limits, and reporting functions.
- Writing scalable, testable, and maintainable object-oriented code while adhering to best practices.
- Participating in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including risk, front office, operations, compliance, and product owners, to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Providing ongoing production support, incident analysis, and remediation to ensure system stability and reliability.
