About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C# /.NET Developer with a focus on Risk & Securities Lending to join our dynamic team on a 6-month hybrid contract basis in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performance environment supporting critical financial systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated risk management and securities lending platforms that are integral to our client’s operations. Collaborating closely with quantitative analysts, risk managers, and front-office teams, you will develop scalable, robust solutions that meet regulatory standards and operational demands. The role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of financial markets and extensive experience in software engineering, particularly within the financial services sector.

- Deep, hands-on experience with C# and .NET frameworks, including .NET Core.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and a solid understanding of architectural design principles.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs using JSON.
- Extensive SQL database experience, particularly with SQL Server.
- Knowledge of application performance tuning, scalability, and best practices in testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working within the financial services industry, especially in risk management, securities lending, prime brokerage, or collateral platforms.
- Understanding of financial risk methodologies, regulatory requirements, and capital calculations is highly advantageous.
- Additional beneficial skills include cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS), messaging technologies like Kafka, and familiarity with front-to-back trading systems and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C# / .NET applications supporting risk and securities lending workflows.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration with upstream and downstream financial systems.
- Handle large datasets and high-throughput systems, contributing to critical exposure calculations, limits, and reporting functions.
- Write scalable, testable, and maintainable object-oriented code, actively participating in architectural discussions and code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, front office, operations, compliance, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide ongoing support for live systems, including incident analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation efforts.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
