About The Role
We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our development team on a hybrid basis in the Midlands, working one day per week in the office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle of software development for critical business applications, including logistics, CRM, EDI, and integration platforms. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications using modern Microsoft technologies within Azure and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex technical problems, embracing continuous learning, and driving innovation to deliver high-quality solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and fellow developers to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet business needs and technical standards.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of commercial experience in developing with .NET and C#. A strong background in building and supporting enterprise-level applications is essential, along with experience in API development and integration with third-party systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments is required. Candidates with experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar will be highly regarded. A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including code quality and testing methodologies, is vital to succeed in this role. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET applications using C# and related frameworks.
- Build and integrate REST and SOAP APIs to facilitate seamless communication between internal systems and external partners.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Functions and App Services.
- Contribute to the modernization and ongoing enhancement of existing applications to improve performance and scalability.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within live production environments to ensure system stability and performance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders and fellow developers, to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Take ownership of features and modules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical standards.
- Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted technologies to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency.
