About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced .NET Developer to join our talented IT team. This role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting a range of customer-facing, operational, and internal systems built on Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining APIs, integrations, and applications that are vital to our business operations. Working closely with stakeholders across departments and external partners, the developer will ensure that our software solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned with business goals. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a pragmatic developer who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and ongoing support, in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development with proven experience in C# and .NET frameworks. A solid understanding of API development, web services, and system integrations is essential. Proficiency in ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core, along with experience working with SQL Server and database design, is required. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools for work tracking, build automation, and deployment are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to work well within a structured team environment. A background in troubleshooting live applications and supporting production environments will be advantageous. A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth is also important.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, test, and support .NET-based applications, APIs, and system integrations to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and third-party vendors to understand needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Design and implement system integrations between internal platforms and external service providers.
  • Support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of existing applications, including troubleshooting defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and adhere to best engineering practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established standards for version control, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Conduct code reviews, share knowledge with team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in deployment activities, release management, and post-release support to ensure smooth rollouts and minimal downtime.
  • Contribute to enhancing development practices, documentation quality, and technical resilience to reduce reliance on individual team members.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to support structured and efficient software delivery processes.
  • Engage actively in a collaborative team environment, supporting a delivery-focused culture and continuous process improvement.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of IT, contributing to various projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Take responsibility for personal development and encourage skill growth among team members to foster a high-performing team culture.
