About The Role

We are seeking a skilled VB.NET Web Developer to join our dedicated development team. In this role, you will work closely with the core team on HotLizard’s suite of products, focusing on developing new features, enhancing user experience, and advancing our platform using the latest technologies. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects, including supporting our existing online recruitment products and accelerating the development of new sports-related offerings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment, ensuring that our products meet high standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three years of professional experience working with VB.NET. A strong understanding of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL is essential. Candidates should demonstrate self-motivation and a drive to achieve project goals, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively within the team and with stakeholders. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team are critical for success in this role. Desirable qualifications include familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC. Experience with IIS, WebAPI, jQuery, unit testing, and source control tools like TFS will be advantageous.
