About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior.NET Developer to join a dynamic SaaS organization in a hybrid role based in Birmingham. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the modernization of existing systems from the traditional.NET Framework to the more flexible and scalable.NET Core platform. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based microservices, ensuring the company's products remain at the forefront of technological innovation. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and adopting the latest architectural and DevOps practices to enhance product quality and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in developing with.NET Framework and transitioning to.NET Core.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud computing, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and related frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Solid knowledge of database systems, including SQL Server and NoSQL options.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of legacy.NET Framework applications to.NET Core, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient microservices deployed on cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainability and scalability.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of applications, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
