#.NET Developer | C#.NET | Energy Trading | ETRM | Event-Driven Architecture | Hybrid – London | Up to £850 | Inside IR35 | 6-Month Rolling Contract

A leading global financial services organisation, providing liquidity, market access and infrastructure services across commodities, financial markets and foreign exchange, is looking to hire a C#.NET Developer to join their Power & Gas Technology team.

This C#.NET Developer opportunity will see you playing a key role in the complete restructuring of a Front Office ETRM trading platform that supports a high-performing Energy Trading desk. As a C#.NET Developer, you will be responsible for redesigning and modernising a mission-critical C#.NET trading platform, transforming a legacy application into a scalable, low-latency, event-driven system capable of supporting multiple Front Office traders operating across Power, Gas and Emissions markets.

Working closely with traders, quants and technology teams, you will take ownership of the platform architecture, driving the full software development lifecycle from solution design through to implementation and deployment, while ensuring the platform remains resilient, deterministic and capable of handling real-time market events under volatile trading conditions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
