THE ROLE

An established digital transformation and software consultancy in Lincolnshire is looking for a talented.NET Developer to join its growing development team. You'll design, build and maintain high-quality web applications and bespoke software solutions for a varied portfolio of clients, working across the full development lifecycle — from technical design through build, testing and deployment to ongoing support. Working alongside Business Analysts, Project Managers, Designers and fellow Developers, you'll turn business requirements into robust, scalable and well-engineered solutions, and have a genuine hand in the technical decisions that shape them.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is an established consultancy delivering software and digital solutions to organisations across the UK. They work across bespoke development, enterprise applications, CMS-driven platforms and system integration, and this role has come about through continued growth.

THE.NET DEVELOPER ROLE

  • Design, develop and maintain web applications and bespoke software using C#,.NET and ASP.NET Core
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems and services
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable and well-tested code following recognised best practice
  • Work across both back-end and front-end as part of full-stack solutions
  • Work with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
  • Maintain, enhance and modernise existing and legacy applications
  • Diagnose and resolve application, performance and integration issues
  • Contribute to technical design, estimation and development standards, and take part in code reviews
  • Work closely with BAs, PMs, testers and fellow developers throughout the delivery lifecycle

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • C#,.NET /.NET Core / ASP.NET Core
  • ASP.NET MVC and modern web application architecture
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • REST APIs and web services
  • Entity Framework / EF Core
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Git and source control
  • Debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation

NICE TO HAVE

  • Umbraco CMS (or another CMS platform such as Optimizely)
  • Azure and cloud-hosted applications
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • A JavaScript framework (Angular, React or Vue) and/or TypeScript
  • Unit testing and Agile/Scrum experience
