About Mercury

At Mercury, we're redefining how recruitment and staffing firms use technology. Our cloud-based SaaS platform - a staffing-specific ATS and CRM built natively on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform - helps firms automate, scale, and perform at their best. Unlike legacy tools that bolt on integrations and AI after the fact, Mercury gives staffing leaders a single, governed system of record with enterprise-grade security, automation, analytics, and AI built in from the ground up.

Founded in 2014, we've grown rapidly into a global organisation with teams across the UK, US, and Australia. Our development team builds and maintains Mercury's Core product - a Power Platform model-driven application supported by a suite of web services and Azure resources.

What you'll do

This is a varied development role where you'll work across both .NET development and Microsoft Power Platform, contributing to different parts of the Mercury technology stack.

As part of a multidisciplinary Agile team of Developers, Quality Analysts and Product Owners, you'll contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Mercury product suite. Depending on your existing experience, we'll support you in developing your skills across both pro-code development and Power Platform.

You'll be involved in:

  • Developing and enhancing solutions across both Microsoft Power Platform and.NET/C#.
  • Building and improving our Dynamics solutions, web resources and backend APIs.
  • Developing solutions using technologies including C#,.NET, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Working with Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate and model-driven applications.
  • Creating and enhancing RESTful web services and APIs.
  • Working with Microsoft Azure and the wider Microsoft technology stack.
  • Collaborating closely with Developers, QAs and Product Owners to deliver high-quality software increments.
  • Contributing to requirements, solution design, backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Conducting code reviews and helping maintain high standards around code quality and engineering practices.
  • Working within an environment supported by Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
  • Building a strong understanding of the wider Mercury product suite and contributing ideas on how we continue to improve it.

What we're looking for

We're primarily looking for an experienced .NET/C# Developer with a strong software engineering foundation who is interested in broadening their skillset and learning Microsoft Power Platform development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You don't need previous Power Platform experience to join us. What matters most is that you're confident working with .NET and C#, enjoy building quality software and are interested in developing your capabilities across a broader Microsoft technology stack.

We'd also be interested in speaking to experienced Power Platform Developers who already have some hands-on experience with .NET/C# and want to strengthen their pro-code development skills. You don't need to be an expert in.NET, but you will need some practical exposure rather than be completely new to it.

Whichever route you come from, you'll be interested in developing across both areas and becoming a more rounded Developer who can contribute across the full Mercury technology stack.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Commercial software development experience using.NET and C# – either as your core development background or through hands-on development experience alongside Power Platform.
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience building or consuming RESTful web services and APIs.
  • An understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles and clean coding practices.
  • Experience working with source control and modern software development practices.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience with unit testing, using technologies such as MSTest or NUnit.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development team.
  • The ability to translate requirements, user stories and specifications into effective technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great attention to detail and a genuine focus on quality and standards.

Bonus points for:

  • You don't need to tick every box below, but we'd be particularly interested if you have experience with:
    • Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Canvas Apps or model-driven applications.
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 development or customisation.
    • Developing Dynamics plugins or custom workflow activities.
    • Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies.
    • JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
    • Azure DevOps.
    • UX and designing software with the end-user experience in mind.

Just as importantly, you'll be curious, comfortable learning new technologies and interested in developing beyond your current specialism.

If you're a.NET Developer who wants to add Power Platform development to your skillset, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
