About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior.Net Developer to join our dynamic team based in North London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support our financial management software solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex integrations, optimize database performance, and contribute to the development of robust API services. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Visual Basic.NET, C#, SQL Server, and experience with SAP Business One integration. As part of our collaborative environment, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including SAP consultants, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record in building scalable and secure APIs. You should have strong proficiency in .NET technologies, particularly C# and VB.NET, along with extensive experience working with SQL Server databases. Familiarity with RESTful API development, error handling, logging, and monitoring is essential. Candidates should also have experience with version control systems such as Git, and be comfortable working within agile development methodologies. Additional knowledge of Windows Forms, Azure DevOps pipelines, Swagger documentation, and SAP Business One integration will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- API Development: Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in VB.NET and C#, ensuring seamless integration with SQL Server and SAP Business One backend tables.
- Database Management: Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and implement indexing strategies to efficiently manage large datasets and improve system performance.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor API and database performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement enhancements to ensure system scalability and responsiveness.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, database schemas, and backend infrastructure to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with SAP consultants, frontend developers, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of software components.
- Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews, debugging sessions, and error handling to uphold high standards of system reliability and security.
- Best Practices: Stay current with industry standards in API design, database performance tuning, and cloud infrastructure to continually improve development processes.
