About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer (.Net) to join our innovative digital team. This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of a new enterprise-grade, event-driven integration platform on the Microsoft Azure cloud. As the first member of our in-house development team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and delivering cutting-edge digital services that will have a significant impact on our organization’s digital transformation journey. You will work closely with consultants initially, before taking ownership as the technical lead, guiding the team towards best practices, high-quality code, and scalable solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced developer who is passionate about technology, mentoring, and shaping the future of digital services within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in enterprise software development, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Essential qualifications include proven experience in delivering complex solutions on Azure, with advanced skills in .NET and C#. Candidates should have hands-on expertise with event-driven architecture, utilizing technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid. Knowledge of building APIs and microservices using Azure tools like Functions, API Management, and Web Apps is crucial. Familiarity with Azure data services such as SQL, Storage, Data Lake, and Cosmos DB is also required. Certifications related to Microsoft Azure are highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and experience working within agile teams are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop an event-driven API and microservices platform on Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Integrate multiple third-party systems securely and reliably, facilitating seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance measures across the development lifecycle.
- Present proofs of concept and provide technical guidance to stakeholders and team members.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Contribute to the organization’s broader digital and technology strategy, aligning development efforts with business goals.
